Terms for students and customers using instructor services on Coordinated

Welcome Students

These Student Terms of Use ("Student Terms") govern your use of Coordinated as a student or customer booking and attending instruction services. By creating an account or booking sessions, you agree to these terms.

Coordinated is a platform that connects you with independent instructors. Instructors are not employees of Coordinated. They are independent business owners who use our platform to manage their services.

1. Your Account

1.1 Creating an Account

To book sessions on Coordinated, you need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your account information current
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)
  • Not share your account with others

1.2 Account for Minors

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must create and manage your account. The adult account holder is responsible for all bookings, payments, and compliance with these terms.

1.3 Family Accounts

You may create a family account to manage bookings for multiple family members. The primary account holder is responsible for all activity and payments on the account.

2. Booking and Attending Sessions

2.1 Making Bookings

When you book a session:

  • You are making a commitment to attend at the scheduled time
  • You agree to pay the instructor's stated price
  • You accept the instructor's policies (cancellation, late arrival, etc.)
  • Payment is typically charged immediately upon booking

2.2 Cancellations and Rescheduling

Each instructor sets their own cancellation and rescheduling policies. These policies are displayed before you complete your booking. Make sure you understand and agree to these policies before booking.

Typical policies include:

  • Free cancellation up to 24-48 hours before the session
  • Partial refund for shorter notice
  • No refund for no-shows or same-day cancellations

2.3 Arriving on Time

Please arrive on time for your sessions. Instructors may have other commitments and late arrivals can disrupt their schedule. Instructor policies may address late arrivals.

2.4 Session Conduct

During sessions, you agree to:

  • Follow the instructor's guidance and rules
  • Respect the instructor and other students
  • Use appropriate language and behavior
  • Not engage in harassment or discrimination
  • Follow safety guidelines and instructions

3. Payments and Refunds

3.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Coordinated. When you book a session, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the session cost.

3.2 Pricing

Instructors set their own prices. Prices displayed include the instructor's fee. There may be additional platform processing fees or taxes depending on your location.

3.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled according to the instructor's refund policy. If you believe you are entitled to a refund that the instructor has not provided, contact our support team.

3.4 Disputes

If you have a payment dispute, contact the instructor first. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact Coordinated support. We may mediate disputes but the final decision rests with the instructor according to their stated policies.

4. Your Data and Privacy

4.1 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide (name, email, payment info) and information about your use of the platform (bookings, session history). See ourPrivacy Policy for details.

4.2 Sharing with Instructors

When you book a session, we share necessary information with the instructor (your name, contact info, booking details). Instructors use this information to provide their services and may contact you about your bookings.

4.3 Communication Preferences

By creating an account, you agree to receive communications about your bookings and account. You can adjust your communication preferences in your account settings.

5. Instructor Relationship

5.1 Independent Instructors

Instructors on Coordinated are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Coordinated. Your instruction services are provided by the instructor, not by Coordinated.

5.2 Instructor Responsibility

Instructors are solely responsible for:

  • The quality and safety of their instruction
  • Their qualifications and certifications
  • Their policies (cancellation, refunds, conduct)
  • Any injuries or issues during sessions
  • Compliance with applicable laws

5.3 Coordinated's Role

Coordinated provides the platform that connects you with instructors. We process payments, facilitate bookings, and provide customer support. We do not:

  • Verify instructor qualifications (though instructors represent they have them)
  • Control how instructors conduct their sessions
  • Guarantee the quality of instruction
  • Assume liability for instructor services

6. Safety and Liability

6.1 Your Safety

Your safety is important. Before participating in instruction:

  • Review the instructor's qualifications and reviews
  • Understand the activity and any associated risks
  • Disclose relevant health or medical conditions to the instructor
  • Follow all safety instructions and guidelines
  • Bring required equipment or attire

6.2 Assumption of Risk

Many activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and assume these risks. You should not participate in activities beyond your skill level or if you have health conditions that may be affected.

6.3 Waivers

Instructors may require you to sign liability waivers or other agreements. These agreements are between you and the instructor. Review them carefully before signing.

6.4 Platform Limitation of Liability

COORDINATED IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM INSTRUCTION SERVICES. INSTRUCTORS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SERVICES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COORDINATED'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE AFFECTED BOOKING.

7. Reviews and Feedback

7.1 Leaving Reviews

You may leave reviews and ratings for instructors after attending sessions. Reviews help other students make informed decisions.

7.2 Review Guidelines

Reviews must:

  • Be based on your actual experience
  • Be honest and accurate
  • Not contain offensive or inappropriate language
  • Not include personal contact information
  • Not violate intellectual property rights
  • Not be posted in exchange for compensation

7.3 Review Removal

We may remove reviews that violate these guidelines. We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative, as long as they are honest and comply with our guidelines.

8. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose
  • Provide false information or impersonate others
  • Abuse, harass, or harm instructors or other users
  • Book sessions with no intention of attending
  • Attempt to circumvent platform fees by paying instructors directly
  • Share your account credentials
  • Use automated tools to book sessions
  • Scrape or collect data from the platform

9. Account Termination

9.1 Closing Your Account

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. You remain responsible for any scheduled sessions and outstanding payments.

9.2 Suspension or Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these terms or our policies
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse instructors or other users
  • Have excessive chargebacks or payment issues
  • Repeatedly miss bookings without canceling

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Student Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Disputes are subject to binding arbitration as outlined in our main Terms of Service.
